The church itself was build in the late 1800's, which isn't too old in regards to a lot of historic churches, but still had the stone and mortar exterior with a wooden, old-fashioned interior that I love about historic buildings. The inside of the church is fairly small, so it has a very intimate feel to it.

Cragsmoor Stone Church. The Cragmsoor Stone Church, also known as the Chapel of the Holy Name, was constructed in 1895. The church was designed in the Gothic Revival style by Frederick S. Dellenbaugh, a prominent local architect and resident. The church was constructed using nearby native stone and contains several beautiful stained glass windows.

Cragsmoor Stone Church Church of the Holy Name -- October 24, 2010. Along the road to Sam's Point -- a popular hiking destination in the Shawangunk Mountains in New York State -- in the hamlet of Cragsmoor is a turn with a sign that only says "Stone Church". Most visitors will probably ignore that sign (I did once) what with Sam's Point.
